May 24th - May 28th

*Note: Week of final exams all exams given first 2 periods of the day each to be 90 min. per exam. Rotating. schedule is in effect.

All classes are to continue on current assignments when completed with exams.( Check schedule from previous week) All senior art obligations must be completed by May28 th.

May 17th -21st

Pd. #1 - 7th Grade Art - All students currently working on their stipling if done students are to begin work on their fabric crayon sketch for their garment.

Pds.# 3 and #6 Basic Art and Drawing - All students who have completed their cartoons and foamboard magnet will begin working on a 5 step "Metamorphic Drawing"

Pd #5 Graphics -All students are to complete their illustrated shopping bag when done they will work on their entry for the logo contest sponsered by S.T.I.

Pd.# 7 Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture- students continue work on relief -carving of "Spartan" to be completed in the next 2 weeks

May 10th to May 14th

Pd. #1 &th Grade Art - Students are currently working on a 3-D stocking Sculpture.Any student done will work on Stipling Project. All Sculpture projects due for grading and critique by May 17th.

Pds. #3 and #6 Basic art & Drawing - Students currently finishing up all wood -carvings to be taken home.All students should be well under way with their Cartooning unit.All cartoon projects due at end of week friday May 21st. Final project underway "Metamorphic drawings".

Pd. #4 Graphics- All students currently designing a shopping bag for a business they would like to own. Project must contain an illustration and location to be done on actul shopping bag in color, using various resources available.

Pd. 7 Advanced Sculpture and Sculpture - Students finisjing up on solving various problems in Sculpture they have set out to solve. Students working with wood, clay , and 3-D painting projects.

May 3rd - 7th

Period #1 7th Grade Art - All students at this time have been introduced to a new project."3-D Stocking Sculpture. Students will be assembling their individual sculptures at this time then proceeding to seal the project with gesso in order to apply their paint.


Periods #3 and #6 Basic art and Drawing - All students who have completed their stipling and relief wood carvings are currently working on a a unit of cartooning by creating characters and drawing various views. Students will end project by completing a full 4 block cartoon strip.

Period #4 Graphics class- All students are continuing work on a restaurant menu (4 pages) Students are to use Photoshop and Microsoft word to create their menu.

Period #7 Advanced Scuplture and Sculpture - Students are to continue on solving individual projects they have undertaken ( clay, wood and styrafoam cup project)

April 26th -30th

Pd. #1 -7th Grade Art - Students are to continue finishing up their "Movie Posters" all posters are due by April 30th to be critiqued and graded.Students will then be introduced to 3-D stocking sculpture project.

Pds. #3 and 6 Basic Art and Drawing- All students must complete their wooden relief carvings by end of week to be graded. Students will next work on creating a cartooning project,first drawing 10 faces,then adding bodies to the faces,and finally drawing 3 different views of their main character.This project will be completed with a 4 box cartoon strip.

Pd. #5 Graphics - All students are currently working on a restaurant menu using photoshop or another program to work on their menu. Students must include information that was relavent to their menu.

Pd. #7 Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture - Students here are completing individual sculptures they have choosen to pursue and complete. (Wood-carving, foamboard, and clay)

April 19th - 23rd

Pd. #1 (7th Grade Art) All students currently working on "Movie Poster Contest" continuing to work on design and lettering on final draft. All posters to be completed by end of month, and taken to Regal Theaters to be judged for free movie passes.

Pds #3 and #6 (Basic art and Drawing ) Students are to continue work on wooden relief carving project. All projects due by April 30th! Students will next begin a Cartooning project.

Pd #4 (Graphics )-Students are currently finishing up their t-shirt design. Next project will be to design a restaurant menu. Here students will combine their creative talents as well as their ability to use their knowledge with Photoshop and Microsoft Word to create and personalize their own restaurant menu.

Pd 7 ( Advanced Sculpture and Sculpture) Students here are solving their own individual art problems using various resources and materials.Clay, wood and cardboard are currently being used to complete sculptural projects.

April 5th- 9th

Pd. #1- 7th Grade - This is the start of a new marking period with a new class. Students will be given an introduction to Art class covering all projects, expectations and classroom proceedures. Students will also be introduced to the first project with examples shown to students. First assignment being a Movie Poster contest held in conjunction with Regal theaters @ the Schuylkill Mall.

Pds. # 3 and 6 Basic Art and Drawing classes - Students are to continue work on either one of two projects assigned "Stipling" or a "Relief Woodcarving"

Pd.# 4 -Graphics- All students currently working on a concert t-shirt design to go along with their concert poster. Any student done may start on ideas for their package design and bottle label.

Pd. #7- Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture- All students currently working on Cardboard Sculpture or Styrafoam cup sculpture ( 2 students on clay sculpture)
