January 4th - 8th 2010

Studio Art class students are to complete individual projects they have choosen to pursue.Review will be held this week to prepare students for their final exams which will be scheduled the following week.
Basic Art and Drawing classes Pds.3 and 6 are in the process of designing their own vanity license plates which must contain an illustration or personal logo along with typography. Students in these classes will also have review for mid-term exams.
Cartooning students are all to continue on their completion of their next page for comic book. Final exam review will also be set up this week to prepare for final the following week.

Dec.22 - 23

All students are to continue finishing up their projects they have underway in all of their art classses. Most students in Basic Art and Drawing are to finish their Holiday ornaments,or start on their license plate design.Students in elective courses (Cartooning, Studio Art, and Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture are to also finish up loose ends on their individual projects.Wednesday students will be allowed to attend gym program.

December 14 - 18th

Studio Art 1st period all students in this class will continue to work on their original art problems they have choosen to solve.Students are working on various personal projects both 2-D and 3 D. Third Period Basic Art and Drawing, and 6th are to continue working on their Christmas ornaments or holiday cards. Cartooning class will be working on their next page for the comic book.Both Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture classes will continue on their individual 3-D projects they have underway.

December 7th -11th

All students in Pd. 1 Studio Art are to continue working on their selected art projects they have choosen to pursue to solve. Basic Art and Drawing Classes (3rd & 4th periods ) are to continue work on their Holiday ornaments and /or Christmas cards. Cartooning class PD. #5 is to continue work on their individual comic book pages having page #2 due this week. Both Sculpture class and Advanced Sculpture classes are to continue on solving their original 3-D problems with critique due at end of week.

December1st to 4th

All students in Studio Art class wiil continue to solve their individual art projects they have choosen to complete. Critique of current student work will be held at the end of the week.
Students in both Basic art and Drawing classes are to continue to finish their 1/2 and 1/2 skecthes.Those students done are to bring in a light bulb to begin construction of a holiday ornament.any student done with current assignments may start on greeting card project.
Cartooning class is to continue work on their comic book pages. Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture are to also continue on projects they have started for completion before the holidays

November 23-25th

Students in Studio Art class will continue working on their various projects they have choosen to pursue to sovle.(clay, wood-burning, stipling, etc.). Basic Art and Drawing classes (Pds.3 and 6) students here will continue to finish up their C.D. designs both front and back.Any student done will begin their 1/2 and 1/2 sketch as per examples shown. Cartooning class continues with their comic book pages. Basic Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture classes are to continue work on solving the various projects they have attempted to pursue.

November 16th -20th

Studio Art class will continue work on solving their individual problems of projects they have undertaken. Basic Art & Drawing classes are to continue working on Compact Disc covers while Cartooning class students are completing the cover for their original and personal comic book.When done with the cover they will be working on their story board for the comic book.All students in Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture are contiuing on their individual 3-D projects when done they will be working as a team to do a relief carving.

November 9th -13th

All students in Studio Art class will continue work on projects they have started. Students in this class are doing free choices, in an attempt to solve their individual problems they have set out to accomplish. In both basic Art & Drawing classes students are to continue work on their 3-D stocking sculptures,when done they will work on posters for Alcohol Awarness contest. In cartooning class students are finishing up their character for a fridge magnet then proceeding to the work for their comic book cover. Both Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture are pursuing individual projects similar to Studio Art class, if they are done they are doing a group project (of a relief carving ). Critque and review of student progress on their work held at end of week.

Week of November 2nd to 6th

Students in Studio Art will continue to solve their individual projects they have choosen to complete. Basic Art and Drawing classes will continue work on their three demensional stocking sculptures. Cartooning classes are to continue with either their 5x7 inch one block theme cartoon or work on their 4 block cartoon strip.
Students in both Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture will continue work on the piece of sculpture the have choosen as a free choice to pursue.Any student done with any of their projects will work on the team project of a relief carving.

October 26th -30th

Pd. #1 All students in Studio Art class will continue to solve individual art problems from project they have decided to pursue.

Pd. 3 and 6 Basic art and Drawing will continue on pumpkin decorating till wednesday. Those students that are done will begin new project ( Stocking Sculpture)

Pd. 5 Cartooning will continue on their individual cartoon strips that have been assigned.

Advanced Sculpture:
Basic Sculpture : Both classes are in pursuit of completing a sculpture using assorted found materials.

Oct.19th- 23rd

Students in Studio art class as well as Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture will continue to work on solving their individual art projects they have choosen to solve. Basic art and Drawing will be painting pumpkins in class for a lobby display.cartooning class will continue on assigned 5x7 block cartoon for Thanksgiving. *Note Thursday Oct. 22nd will be the "Window Painting Project"

Assignments October

Students in Studio art class will continue on solving the various art projects they have proposed to complete. All students in Basic Art classes will continue work on foam block carving,when done will begin sketch for pumpkin painting. Cartooning class will be working on their 5x7 assigned comic block. Both sculpture and advanced Sculpture classes will continue work on the project they have chose to complete,if done they can work on the group project (wood -carving)
